Beginning with the fall issue, out October 1st, we will be featuring personal essays about one's political life or political essays about one's personal life. We'll be looking, in particular, for essays that detail the ways that policy or the threat of policy affect an individual in our current climate. This can be broadly interpreted to mean the ways that politics and law are felt within our families, bodies, homes, communities and ever-expanding circles of experience. We are not looking for political or cultural analysis unless it has a personal element. We want to know what is at-stake in our contemporary national landscape.
Please see our "How To Submit" page for instructions on sending us your work. We look forward to reading it.
