Work by Gastonia poet and writer David E. Poston has appeared in journals and anthologies such as Broad River Review, Crack the Spine, English Journal, Main Street Rag, Pedestal, The Cape Rock, The Southern Poetry Anthology: North Carolina, and Kakalak. His poetry collections are My Father Reading Greek, Postmodern Bourgeois Poetaster Blues, and Slow of Study. Retired from full-time teaching since 2011, he continues to lead writing workshops for Hospice and other venues. "Requiem" previously appeared in the anthology, What Matters (Jacar Press).
